It has been a rather strange weekend without football across the globe amid recent developments and players are finding their own forms of amusement in the meantime.
Of course, Newcastle United stars are no exception to this rule and Allan Saint-Maximin tweeted about what exactly the Magpies truly need in a situation like this one. Indeed, he shared a video of a busker who’s playing ‘Blaydon Races’, stating that Newcastle need him to play the players’ entrance anthem at St. James’ Park in the near future.

Clearly, Saint-Maximin feels like this version of the tune, played by the man in the video, would be a nice addition to St. James’ Park so he voiced his opinion on Twitter. The Geordie folk song is often heard at the club’s famous ground but the Frenchman is using the break in football to call for it to be introduced in this way, it seems.
While that may be easier said than done, it could still go a long way to lifting the fans’ spirits on social media.
