Newcastle United could be set to make a summer move for Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.
A latest report in The Chronicle claims that the St. James Park club have joined the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United in showing interest in Eze.
The 21-year-old has been in superb form this season for QPR, netting 12 goals and providing eight assists in the Championship.
The England U21 international has gradually been enhancing his reputation in the second tier and a move to the Premier League is widely expected by many watching fans of the English game.
Valued at just over £8m by Transfermarkt, Rangers would expect to gain a much bigger asking price for the young talent, however, with financial restraints on clubs this summer due to the pandemic, they may be forced to accept something a little less.
With news of a takeover at Newcastle developing at a rapid rate, Eze could be the first in many potential summer arrivals.
Would he make a good signing at Newcastle? Almost definitely, the youngster has been exciting to watch and would arguably hand any Premier League squad a superb option in their attacking line up.
Full of skill and flair, Eze has loads of potential given his scoring rate at the age of just 21 and he could go on to have a superb future both domestically and for England, if given the chance by Gareth Southgate.
Having gained experience in the Championship, it is only right that Eze now gets given the chance to play amongst the elite of English football.
