Newcastle United would be so much better with £7.2m-rated Norway international in their ranks

The Newcastle fans in the Transfer Tavern cannot believe how well their team have performed at times this season, considering how little goal threat they pose. The Magpies look to have done enough to cement their Premier League status and this will be the aim once again next season.

Its been a long, hard campaign for Newcastle but they remain unscathed. Rafa Benitez has done a terrific job and it shows what a quality manager he is, given the players at his disposal. The Magpies have a huge fan base, a massive ground but they still need the right players to bring success back to Tyneside.

Newcastle simply must look for a goalscorer this summer and us punters believe the perfect addition could be Joshua King, Bournemouth’s striker valued at £7.20 million on Transfermarkt. Although the 26-year-old has battled with injury throughout this season, he has still scored six goals which have helped towards Bournemouth surviving another season in the Premier League.

It wasn’t long ago that Newcastle were sniffing round King and after his performances last season, you can understand why. Josh King was one of the shining stars last season, scoring 16 goals which linked him to many top clubs in England. Unfortunately for him, this campaign hasn’t quite been as explosive but on his day, the 26-year-old is a real threat to any opposition with his terrific pace and finishing ability.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Newcastle have experimented with a number of strikers this season but none have really proven that they’re capable of leading the line for this great club. To that end, Josh King would be a much-welcomed addition and could prove to be the star striker that the Magpies have been after.
