Newcastle United fans here in the Tavern are looking forward to the summer transfer window, as they may be able to challenge for a European spot next season.
Rafa Benitez will be desperate to challenge for a European spot next season as he’s used to working at the highest level, so Mike Ashley will need to provide him with the correct backing this summer.
Although, Newcastle did struggle to find the back of the net for large parts of the campaign, as the likes of Joselu, Ayoze Perez and Dwight Gayle all had their wobbly moments. Therefore, Benitez will be shopping for a striker this summer after witnessing a number of poor attacking displays.
So without further ado, Newcastle will qualify for Europe if they sign this forward…
The Venezuelan’s current club West Bromwich Albion suffered relegation to the Championship this season, so the striker will be looking to move away from the Hawthorns at some point during the summer transfer window.
And, with one year left on his current contract, Newcastle could look to push through a cut-price deal.
Salomon Rondon, who is valued at £11.7 million (by Transfermarkt), has shown that he can score goals in the Premier League over the past few seasons, which is something the Magpies could definitely benefit from in the next campaign.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
