Newcastle fans will be disappointed with the club’s business in the transfer window so far.
The Magpies have added four new players to his squad this summer. Rafael Benitez recently completed a £3m deal for defender Fabian Schar who follows Martin Dubravka, Kenedy and Ki Sung-Yueng to St. James Park. If Newcastle want to qualify for Europe, they need to show some more ambition.
Mike Ashley is yet to give Rafael Benitez to funds to significantly strengthen his squad and build on last season’s tenth place finish in the Premier League. Unless Ashley wants to lose the Spaniard, he must give him some valuable transfer funds. The former Liverpool boss wants to bolster his forward line and should look to the Russian League for his next signing.
A great addition to the squad would be Spartak Moscow winger – Quincy Promes. Valued at £21.6m by Transfermarkt, the Dutchman has been one of the top performers in Russia since arriving from Twente back in 2014. Last season, Promes scored 15 and registered nine assists. He has hit double figures for goals during every season for Moscow.
The Dutch international can play right across the forward line but is primarily used on the left. He has blistering pace and excellent dribbling ability which makes him a nightmare for defenders. Benitez would be the perfect boss to bring the best out of the 26-year-old.
Newcastle fans, thoughts?
