Arsenal will be desperate to make the most of their Premier League clash with Manchester City later on today, with a win providing them with a huge boost in the top four race.
The Gunners have struggled to ensure consistency over the past month or so, but they still find themselves in a promising position in the race for a top four spot at this moment in time.
However, things could take a negative turn as Arsenal will be very busy during the month of February, with the Europa League knockout stages and a number of difficult Premier League matches coming up.
With that being said, here is the nightmare February for Arsenal…
SUFFER SHOCK EUROPA LEAGUE EXIT
The Gunners will be looking to go one better this year as they’re arguably one of the strongest sides in the competition, with the Europa League being their best chance of securing silverware this season.
However, it would be an absolute disaster if BATE Borisov manage to pull off a couple of shock results to dump Arsenal out of the competition. It wouldn’t exactly be impossible as the Gunners’ opponents are currently top of the Belarusian Premier League and they finished just behind Chelsea in their group.
TOP FOUR HOPES TAKE A HIT
Of course, Unai Emery will accept nothing less than a top four spot in the current campaign as supporters have had to settle for watching their side in the Europa League in recent times.
The North London club currently find themselves well in the race for a top four spot, but the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea will be hard to stop, especially given United’s record since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge.
So, the month of February could turn out to be a nightmare for the Gunners as they’re set to face up against Manchester City later on today, with a busy schedule also possibly taking its toll.
