Tottenham Hotspur made a big statement yesterday by beating Newcastle United as they now find themselves above Manchester City in the Premier League table.
Spurs have gone up another level under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino in the current campaign, despite not spending a single penny in any of the last two transfer windows.
But, February will be a challenging month for the Lilywhites as they’ve got a number of difficult games coming up, including their Champions League round of 16 first leg tie against Borussia Dortmund.
So, here is the nightmare February for Tottenham Hotspur…
FALL APART AT STAMFORD BRIDGE
Spurs will travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on the 27th of February in the Premier League.
Indeed, a win against the Blues would take Mauricio Pochettino’s side within touching distance of securing top four spot, with Chelsea currently battling the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United for fourth place.
But, things could also go horribly wrong as the Lilywhites could be on the receiving end of a thrashing at Stamford Bridge, as they’ve not looked too convincing in the defensive third of the field over the past month. Of course, this would be very demoralising and it could also scupper Spurs’ top four hopes.
LOSE ANOTHER ATTACKER TO INJURY
Sadly, Harry Kane is currently spending time out on the sidelines after picking up an injury. And, to make matters worse, the North London club failed to sign any players during the January transfer window, so they’re still having to rely on Fernando Llorente to lead the line.
Worryingly, another injury to an attacker could bring Spurs’ season to a halt as they’re down to the bare minimum at this moment in time. So, supporters will be praying that nothing bad happens as an injury could ruin their current position, with a lack of quality at the pinnacle of the attack making it hard to grind out results.Like what the TT have on offer?
