Everton have been one of the form teams in the Premier League in recent times as they continue to come on leaps and bounds under Marco Silva.
The Toffees will be desperate to secure a European spot after splashing the cash during the summer transfer window.
However, it’s vital that Everton can continue to ensure consistency in what could prove to be a season-defining month, with the opportunity to cement their place in the top seven.
Although, with plenty of games still yet to come and a number of negative factors possibly coming into play, the Merseyside club could soon find themselves slipping away.
Therefore, here’s TWO things that could force Everton to take a step backwards…
RICHARLISON STOPS SCORING
Richarlison has certainly lived up to the hype since making the move from Watford during the summer transfer window for a hefty price. Indeed, the Brazilian currently has six goals and one assist to his name in 10 appearances for the Toffees, which is a very good return when you consider his wide role on the field.
However, Marco Silva’s side could soon find themselves slipping down the table and struggling for consistency if Richarlison’s contributions start to dry up, with Chelsea up next.
EUROPEAN SPOT SLIPS AWAY
Everton would have set their sights on securing a European spot prior to the start of the current campaign, and they’re definitely on course to meet their targets this season.
But, the rest of November could go horribly wrong with a trip to Stamford Bridge and an awkward Cardiff City side travelling to Goodison Park.
So, the Toffees’ European hopes could soon vanish if they suffer two defeats.
