Nightmare November: Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur have been rather impressive in the current campaign and now have the opportunity to challenge for the Premier League title.

The Lilywhites will be desperate to enjoy a positive run of form in all competitions to ensure that they give themselves the best chance of securing silverware.

Indeed, it’s vital that Tottenham ensure consistency in what could prove to be a season-defining month, with the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages and challenge for the title.

Although, with plenty of games still yet to come and a number of negative factors possibly coming into play, the London club could soon find themselves slipping away.

Therefore, here’s TWO things that could force Tottenham Hotspur to take a step backwards…

HARRY KANE SUFFERS DRY PATCH

Harry Kane has failed to reach his full potential in the current campaign, despite scoring a number of goals in all competitions this season. The Englishman managed to find the back of the net against Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out, but this was his first goal in the Premier League since the 10th of October.

There’s no doubt that the Englishman has the ability to find the back of the net on a consistent basis and has done in the Champions League this season, but if he suffers a dry patch then Spurs’ title chances could vanish.

WAVE GOODBYE TO EUROPE

Spurs have been a huge disappointment in the Champions League this season as they continue to lean towards an exit from the competition after suffering defeat against Inter Milan and Barcelona.

Indeed, the Lilywhites desperately need to seek improvements if they are to avoid dropping down to the Europa League or even dropping out of Europe completely. This would be a huge disappointment after asserting their superiority in last season’s competition, with their penultimate group game against Inter Milan being crucial.
