Everton will be desperate to enjoy a positive start to the campaign by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux later on today.
The Toffees spent big this summer and attracted some big names to the club in the form of loan deals, so it’s fair to say that they are prepared for the start of the Premier League campaign. Although, it looks as if they’re set to offload one of their first-team members, as according to Sport 24 (via Sports Mole), Nikola Vlasic has been given the green light to join Russian side CSKA Moscow on loan.
Vlasic was told to train away from Everton’s first-team this summer as a temporary move away seemed inevitable.
The Croatian made 11 starts at Goodison Park last season and impressed in patches but failed to hold down a starting place under a number of different managers.
So, it now looks as if he will spend the season on loan at Russian side CSKA Moscow, with Everton reportedly giving him permission to move.
The Croatian impressed at times last season but he was never able to nail down a permanent place in the side, with the addition of Richarlison not helping his cause.
However, the Toffees won’t be too fussed to see him move out on loan as he was surplus to requirements and will no doubt move away permanently at some point in the future.
Marco Silva’s focus will be on their first Premier League fixture as Everton take on Wolves at Molineux.
