The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news (as per the Sun) that Gianluigi Buffon could be involved in the shock of the summer as Liverpool are supposedly interested in the Italy and Juventus legend. Jurgen Klopp’s side has struggled with goalkeeping issues, although Loris Karius has stepped up somewhat since the turn of the year.
Would you have Buffon at Liverpool for year?!

Gianluigi Buffon, at the age of 40, is coming to the end of an incredible career. He has a maximum of two years left in professional football, and those short years could be spent on Merseyside. The shot-stopper has never played club football outside of Italy, although that hasn’t hurt his medal haul. The 40-year-old was won an outstanding 20 domestic honours in his native Italy and also has a World Cup winners’ medal in his trophy cabinet from the 2006 tournament in Germany.
If Buffon did the make step from Turin to Liverpool, it would be a huge move for both the club and for the player, who would be rolling the dice one last time on winning the Champions League in his career. The Italian has famously failed to get his hands on the trophy, despite coming runners-up in three separate tournaments in 2003, 2015 and 2017. However, he could be joining a club that are already Champions of Europe if he moves to Anfield this summer, as the Reds travel to Kiev to face Real Madrid in this year’s final in just nine days time.

I'd want Buffon to play one season in Liverpool and show the world that even at 41, he'd be indispensable. Better than Karius and Mignolet combined.
100%, no brainier!!
Anyone saying no hasn’t got a clue

I remember the same thing was said about Casillas as if LFC is a retire home
