‘No chance’, ‘Legend’ – Relieved Liverpool fans react as key man sends message on Twitter

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been shocked by the incredible form of Mohamed Salah this season. They knew that when their side signed him that they would be getting a good player, but they weren’t sure just how good he was going to be.

Fortunately for them, it’s quickly become clear that they have landed one of the most talented players currently playing in Europe. He has emerged as Liverpool’s most important player this term, and his goalscoring record speaks for itself.

Having bagged 17 league goals in just 19 starts, it’s fair to say that he has taken to Anfield like a duck to water.

There was concern amongst our resident Reds earlier this week, then, when reports emerged, via Gianluca Di Marzio, that Real Madrid are keen on landing him.

It has been a big topic of debate in the pub over the last few days, but in news that is sure to come as a relief to Liverpool fans, Mo Salah himself has now spoken out on Twitter – and he has poured cold water on any exit talk.

According to Give Me Sport, that translates as: “There are a lot of rumours that are false recently, and there will be no comment on them” – and that’s sure to leave supporters feeling relieved.

Unsurprisingly, the fans over on the Liverpool subreddit have been responding to Salah’s suggestion with delight, with all of them keen for their Egyptian hero to remain at Anfield.

See what they’ve had to say below…
