The Daily Mail have an interesting claim for us to chew over here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they think that Wilfried Zaha will remain at Old Trafford next season instead of heading out on loan.
The winger made the move to United in January after Sir Alex Ferguson finally landed his man and remained on loan at Crystal Palace for the back end of the season fantastically culminating in promotion for the Eagles.
Some people had thought that due to the age and inexperience of the player, another season on loan with the newly promoted Selhurst Park-based outfit would be on the cards, but according to manager Ian Holloway, that is not the case.
The outspoken former QPR and Blackpool boss noted when speaking to talkSPORT that: “Let’s be perfectly honest, I think the boy is so exciting he’s going to have a chance at Man United and I can see him getting in their first team and I genuinely mean that.”
Of course this will cast further doubt over the future of current Red Devils star Nani who is rumoured to be leaving the club after failing to live up to his tag of the next Cristiano Ronaldo time and time again.
Given new manager David Moyes will be looking to assert his authority on the side, shipping the Portuguese winger out could be the perfect way to do this.
Will Wilfried Zaha be a regular starter for Manchester United this season? Let us know your thoughts below.
