‘No one bigger than LFC’, ‘Rot in the reserves’ – Furious Liverpool supporters slam wantaway star on Twitter

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to run out of patience with Philippe Coutinho.

The resident Reds propping up the bar have fully backed Coutinho during his displays for Liverpool this season, despite his apparent desire to join FC Barcelona. But their patience has begun to wear thin in the last few days, to the point where they are calling for him to be dropped to the reserves.

So far this season, Coutinho has done well to ignore the speculation regarding his future in the media to produce some fine displays in Liverpool red.

Coutinho has scored 12 goals and produced 9 assists for his teammates in 20 appearance for Jurgen Klopp’s side during the current campaign.

However, the re-opening of the January transfer window will hand Barcelona a fresh opportunity to make a bid for Coutinho’s services, and it looks as if the Brazilian may now have played his last game for the club.

The transfer saga has become something of a fiasco in recent days, after Nike began advertising Barcelona shirts with Coutinho’s name printed on the back, even though he officially remains a Liverpool player.

And after continuing to support their star player throughout the season, it appears that the Liverpool supporters have finally had enough with Coutinho and his links with Barcelona.

Here’s what the Liverpool supporters have had to say about Coutinho in recent days…
