There are some interested looks around the Football Transfer Tavern as Sky Sports brings the latest reports from David Moyes over the possibility of new arrivals at Old Trafford in the upcoming transfer window.
Moyes has told reporters that he will only add players to his squad in January if the right ones become available to the annoyance of United fans in the bar.
As has been widely reported, only Marouane Fellaini arrived during the summer from Moyes’ former club Everton and his performances so far at Old Trafford have left a lot to be desired.
This has led to United supporters urging Moyes to strengthen his side during the January transfer window as they try and challenge for the Premier League title again.
There was the general idea in the bar that Moyes will be trying to bolster his squad, but now he has admitted he will only spend the club’s budget unless he can improve his current side.
He said: “Only if the right players are available,” he said. “They have to be able to fit into our squad.
“We would like to but there are no guarantees.”
Everton left back Leighton Baines has been repeatedly targeted by Moyes without success and now he has confessed that his former could prove hard to land given Everton’s assistance on keeping the England international.
“If they are determined to hold on to him then he can’t be going anywhere,” added Moyes.
