Manchester United fans are looking rather disappointed here in the Football Transfer Tavern and we cannot blame them after reading the latest reports from Metro.
The publication have claimed that Marco Reus has put to bed the idea of moving to Manchester United once and for all.
We had thought the German star may be tempted to leave Borussia Dortmund like the majority of his fellow players – but it seems that will not be the case.
Reus was asked about his future and the fact that he has been constantly linked with a move away from the Bundesliga and his boyhood club and moved to reassure fans over his future.
He claimed: “I can definitely say that I will play for Dortmund next season. I don’t have to keep stressing how well I feel here.
“After playing 10 years in the youth here I had to go a step back via Ahlen and Mönchengladbach to make two steps forward.
“Now I am back in Dortmund and – again – I feel totally well here and have a contract until 2017.”
Do you think this is a huge blow to Manchester United or do you think they can prise Reus away from Borussia Dortmund yet? Let us know your thoughts below.
