“Nope, I want Verratti” – Man United fans completely divided over Jose’s latest transfer target

The landlord’s had enough of Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern. Whilst they’re more than welcome to a round of fine ales, their constant bickering over Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is getting a little tedious. 

David Moyes reportedly came close to signing the then-Bayern Munich ace during his time at Old Trafford, even agreeing the move with the World Cup winner, but he joined Real Madrid instead.

However, The Independent now claim that United are ready to go again for the 27-year-old playmaker as they look to sign star players with commercial value, although the Bernabeu hierarchy reportedly view him as ‘almost un-sellable‘ after extending his contract until 2022 back in October.

But whilst some believe Kroos would be a fantastic signing for the Red Devils – earmarking him as the ideal successor to ageing midfielder Michael Carrick, who has lost his place in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI recently – other United punters in the Transfer Tavern aren’t quite so convinced.

In addition to the Transfer Tavern’s regular patrons being unable to hear each other talk over the noise of relentless debate amongst Red Devils fans at the bar, quite the discussion over Kroos is developing on Twitter as well…
