North London Vultures Circling For Stamford Bridge Front Man report that Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou is subject to interest from North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham but also German giants and Champions League final hopefuls Bayern Munich.

Kalou is set to leave Chelsea in the summer when his current deal expires as new contract talks have stalled recently.

The Daily Mail report Kalou is demanding a more central role in Chelsea’s attack if he is to sign a new deal. The Ivorian is often used out wide in a front three as he has been for his entire Stamford Bridge career but now it seems the struggling form of both Torres and Drogba has had Kalou and Sturridge both demanding central roles.

They also claim these demands have been intensified by reports AC Milan are also interested.

While The National report Kalou has stated his intent and has claimed he will not fight for a new Chelsea deal. He would like to be considered as an integral part of the Chelsea squad and if they don’t see that he his willing to turn his back on the club and move elsewhere.

A move away from Chelsea would almost surely benefit Kalou – provided he picks the right club – as I never see him as a crucial member of the Chelsea first team. However, if he moves to AC, Bayern and Arsenal he is likely to be warming the bench more often than not once more. Spurs probably sounds the best move as injury prone Lennon often vacates their right hand side which Kalou can gladly fill but with Adebayor set to return to City, Spurs may also like to use Kalou as one of their forwards.

From a Chelsea perspective, Kalou is a valuable squad member who has a history of scoring crucial goals such as his one against Benfica last week. If Kalou would not settle for being a bit part player then the club would have to concede and let him leave, but personally I’d like to see Kalou in a Chelsea shirt next season.
