Norwich City are targeting a late move for Bolton Wanderers youngster Dennis Politic, according to The Daily Mail.
The Canaries have made five senior signings so far in the transfer window, with Ralf Fahrmann, Ibrahim Amadou, Patrick Roberts, Josip Drmic and Sam Byram all joining the club.
The Norfolk outfit open their Premier League campaign tomorrow as they travel up to Merseyside to take on Liverpool.
Daniel Farke’s side won promotion to the Premier League after finishing top of the Championship last season.
Farke himself alluded to Norwich City’s ‘self-financing policy’ that has seen a bigger investment of youth.
He said: “The board and Stuart (Webber) have made it clear. We still have to pay for some sins of the past.”
“There was no other option, we had to invest in the training ground and the academy in order to make sure that this club is run in a positive way in a few years and not just one season in the Premier League.” (Source: Pink Un)
Politic would be a very good buy as the youngster showed his class during his time on loan at Salford City. The Romanian youth international scored two goals and assisted a further two in just 11 games for the club, as Salford City got promoted to League Two.
With the club deciding to rebuild the youth teams and Politic’s obvious talent, a move for the Bolton youngster would make sense in the little time that remains in the window.
