Norwich City: Fans praise Ben Godfrey despite 2-0 defeat away to Burnley
Norwich City fans praised central defender Ben Godfrey after his message for the fans following the 2-0 defeat away to Burnley.
The Canaries went down 2-0 to Sean Dyche’s side after two goals in four minutes from Chris Wood brought the side back down to earth after their 3-2 win over Manchester City (via BBC).
Godfrey put in a decent performance at Turf Moor, making the most interceptions and being the only defender in Daniel Farke’s side not to commit a foul (via WhoScored).
The England youth international has been an ever-present in Farke’s side this season, owing to his consistent displays for the Norfolk side (via Transfermarkt).
The German manager has been praising the centre-back this season, saying he can be ‘the best’ and can become a ‘world-class’ defender (via Eastern Daily Press).
Despite the defeat to Burnley, fans took to Twitter to praise the defender for his performances so far this season.
