Leeds United fans were given the joy of a press conference yesterday where Marcelo Bielsa and Patrick Bamford faced the media ahead of their clash against Middlesbrough tomorrow. One of the talking points, with Bamford being there, was the striker’s clash with Tim Krul last Saturday, but the ex-Norwich man stayed classy in his responses.
Bamford talking about the clash with Tim Krul after the Norwich game – says it didn't set a good example to kids watching and that everyone needs to be mindful of that, including him. #lufc

Bamford has shown that he knows what it’s all about, and whilst Krul may have stoked the fire with his responses to questions about the incident, Bamford has refused to contribute any cheap soundbites. The 25-year-old striker has shown a touch of class both on and off the pitch for the Whites in his debut season, even if his time on the pitch has been blighted by injury this season.
In the aftermath of Leeds United’s 3-1 home loss to Norwich last week there was a clear confrontation between Krul and Bamford and whilst it all may have been handbags, Krul refused to let it die down afterwards with his rude verdict on the situation. You can read his comments here, where he claimed not to know who Bamford was, although the Leeds man has refused to be drawn and has instead given a reminder of the levels of professionalism that they need to uphold.

Good lad. Bet Krul isn't saying similar.

So much more dignified than Krul’s . ‘ what’s his name ? Bamford? ‘
So disrespectful. And considering he was the aggressor. How sporting.

Amazing that Krul got away with no FA sanction. If it had been Pontus……

He was the one that instigated it ffs

@Patrick_Bamford conducted him like a gent. No antics, stood his own
