Norwich City fans are lauding Teemu Pukki after the forward scored in Finland’s 2-1 defeat away to Greece in their final European Championship qualifier.
The forward struck the opening goal of the game in the 27th minute to make it 10 goals in 10 qualifying games for his country.
Pukki’s goals have helped Finland secure their place in next summer’s European Championship, their first involvement in the competition’s history.
After his strike last night, Pukki went level on goals with legendary Finn Jari Litmanen with both men joint-level on 25 goals (via David Freezer).
His time with the Canaries this season hasn’t been as successful, with the Norfolk side sitting rock bottom of the Premier League table on just seven points.
However, he has managed to notch up six goals in just 12 league games in his debut top-flight campaign for Daniel Farke’s side (via Transfermarkt).
Fans were lavishing the 29-year-old with praise on a record-equalling night for the striker as they took to Twitter to react.

Give him chances and he will take them. He’s been isolated for 2 months. #ncfc

Now it’s over to Daniel Farke to get the team playing in such a way that we can get the Pukki Party goal machine rolling again… with a couple more players off the injury list too. OTBC COYY
