Norwich City: Timm Klose ruled out of Premier League opener versus Liverpool - Norwich City

Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has ruled defender Timm Klose out of tonight’s Premier League opener against Liverpool.

Farke said: “Timm Klose is out for tomorrow, unfortunately. He hope to have him back for Newcastle.” (Source: Norwich City)

The Canaries have signed five senior players this summer, however, none of them are central defenders. Sam Byram was the only defensive signing made by Norwich this summer, however, the 25-year-old is a right-back.

Norwich City’s defence has been less than stable during pre-season. Indeed, Christoph Zimmermann missed the entire summer programme and is also set to miss the beginning of the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Ben Godfrey and Grant Hanley have both missed various games throughout pre-season.

As you can imagine, the fans below seemed to be quite disappointed with the news that Klose will be missing for tomorrow’s game.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Carrow Road faithful after the announcement from Farke in his pre-match press conference:
