Norwich fans will be buzzing with their 4-0 win over Bolton at the University of Bolton Stadium yesterday, yet during the clash, there was one moment that frustrated them. With the score already at 4-0, Teemu Pukki was brought down in the box and the Canaries were awarded their sixth penalty of the season in the Championship.

After Mario Vrancic, Teemu Pukki, Jordan Rhodes and Marco Stiepermann all missed from 12-yards, Daniel Farke continued to mix things up in search of a successful penalty when he left it to Kenny McLean. However, history repeated itself once again as the 27-year-old Scottish midfielder never looked like scoring and his tame effort straight down the middle was kept out.
It’s beginning to look like the Canaries may never score a penalty again, and whilst they continue their awful form from 12-yards, the fans will just be delighted that their overall form is stellar. There were some question marks over the penalty yesterday though, as Pukki had already scored twice and one the penalty himself, yet he wasn’t affordedhttps://twitter.com/WalkerAntti/status/1096810649831788544 the chance to grab his treble, instead having to watch on as McLean failed to net.

You have Pukki with two goals in the game, with the possibility for a hattrick and don’t give the pen to him. WTF.

How can a side with so many Germans miss so many penalties?

God help us if we’re in the play offs and it goes to penalties

When will we ever score a penalty ever again!

C'mon. When 0-4 you give the penalty to the guy who has two on his belt already!

There is not much to criticize NCFC for this season, except penalties which have been atrocious!

The Canaries will be desperate to sort out their woeful record from the spot sooner rather than later, although if they keep rattling them in from open play it won’t be too much of a problem.
