Norwich City’s first campaign back in the Championship ultimately ended in a disappointing mid table finish, but with former Borussia Dortmund II boss Daniel Farke now at the helm, there is renewed optimism emitting from Carrow Road.
The same optimism can be felt from Canary Corner here at the Transfer Tavern, with fans of the East Anglian side expressing their excitement at the season ahead.
Challenged to a game of darts by the Norwich faithful, our landlord caught up with the Norwich boys, and discussed their history of turning young forwards into stars.
Nathan Redmond moved to Carrow Road from Birmingham and excelled, and there is a belief amongst fans that Che Adams should make the same move to progress his career.
The 20-year-old Birmingham youngster kept the Blues in the league last year with a goal at Bristol City on the final day, and Farke should consider adding the talented young man to his squad.
With 22-year-old twin brothers Josh and Jacob Murphy already tearing up Carrow Road, adding Adams to the mix could give the Canaries one of the most talented young trios in English football.
Norwich have to be one of the favourites for the title next season, and securing Adams would go a long way in bolstering their squad to achieve a consistent promotion challenge.
Whether Adams fancies a season at Birmingham under Harry Redknapp remains to be seen, but if Norwich come knocking, surely the youngster couldn’t turn them down?
