Norwich City currently find themselves sitting just outside of the automatic promotion places, while Birmingham City continue to chase down a play-off place.
The Canaries won’t accept anything less than promotion to the Premier League in the current campaign, as they’re within touching distance of an automatic place. Meanwhile, the Blues will be desperate to enjoy an even stronger second half of the season at St Andrew’s, having come on leaps and bounds under the guidance of Garry Monk.
Interestingly, Norwich City will welcome Birmingham City to Carrow Road in the Championship later on today, so we took a look at Teemu Pukki and Che Adams’ influence at their respective clubs.
With that in mind, let’s compare these two transfers…
Daniel Farke secured the services of Teemu Pukki on a free transfer back in the summer transfer window, which has single-handedly helped the Canaries challenge for automatic promotion.
The Finland international has been simply sensational in the current campaign, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists so far, as the main driving force behind Norwich’s promotion push.
He will have a huge part to play from here on in until the end of the season and will no doubt continue to fire.
TT GRADE: A
Che Adams is enjoying his best season yet in the blue shirt as he continues to find the back of the net at St Andrew’s, after signing for a small fee that could rise to £1.9 million.
The Englishman currently has 13 goals and four assists to his name, which includes four goals in his last six Championship appearances, so he is bang in-form at this moment in time.
Indeed, Adams will be Birmingham City’s biggest hope as they look to secure a play-off place.
TT GRADE: A-
When comparing these two, it’s safe to say that Teemu Pukki is edging things at this moment in time as he has been able to produce more goals and assists, despite Che Adams putting in a number of incredible performances.
The Norwich City striker has proved to be one of the signings of the summer, having spearheaded their promotion push under the guidance of Daniel Farke.
Meanwhile, Adams has been sensational at the pinnacle of the attack for the Blues as he continues to fire on all cylinders, so he will definitely be one to watch in the second half of the season.
Both players are currently performing at the top of their game in the Championship, but it’s Pukki who is outshining Adams at this moment in time as he has been able to have more of an influence in the final third.
