Arsenal have brought in some quality players to the squad this summer but they may also be about to sell off some players.

With Alisson joining Liverpool for a £63 million fee, Roma are now looking to find replacements for the Brazilian.

The sporting director is widely regarded as one of the masters of the transfer market and is apparently keen to add an experienced goalkeeper to the team. According to The Sun, Roma are considering a shock move for Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech.

The Breakdown

The Italian side are desperately searching for a goalkeeper to fill the void left by Alisson and Cech could be a good stopgap transfer.

Roma have made 11 new signings so far this summer, two of which were goalkeepers, however, a 'keeper of Cech's experience would be an excellent signing. Although the Premier League veteran had a poor season last year, he is still a very good goalkeeper. With only a year left on his current deal and with the arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen, Roma might be able to tempt him away.

Arsenal, however, should resist selling Cech as his experience will be vital next year. Unai Emery needs players who can help him bed in and build his team. Cech is one of the main leaders of the team and could also be important in helping Leno adjust to the Premier League.

It's not for certain that Leno will become Arsenal's first-choice goalie, so selling Cech wouldn't be a wise move for the gunners.
