‘Not good enough’, ‘Offers absolutely nothing’ ‘ Tottenham fans slate star on Twitter following West Ham draw

The resident Lilywhites in the Transfer Tavern were bitterly disappointed to only take a point from their Premier League clash with West Ham yesterday evening.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were made to rue their missed opportunities last night as they were held to a 1-1 draw by a resilient West Ham at Wembley. A win for Spurs would have seen them close the gap on 4th placed Liverpool to just a single point, but they could only narrow the gap to three-points with their result.

For the majority of the match, West Ham were camped inside their own half facing wave after wave of Tottenham attacks, but The Hammers took a shock lead in the 70th minute with one of the goals of the season so far, as Pedro Obiang’s venomous effort from all of 30-yards crashed into the roof of Lloris’ net.

West Ham’s opnener sparked Tottenham into life, and their push for an equaliser was rewarded in the 84th minute when Son Heung Min almost emulated Obiang with a special strike of his own from distance.

Tottenham mounted a late push for a dramatic winner, but they failed to find the breakthrough they so desperately craved.

In the aftermath of proceedings, the Spurs supporters propping up the bar in the tavern were lamenting the performance of one player in particular, namely Moussa Sissoko.

Sissoko has often been scapegoated by the fans for his supposed lack of quality across the field, and it’s fair to say that they would like to see him dropped from Pochettino’s starting eleven in the fixtures to come.

Here’s what the fans on Twitter had to say about Sissoko’s performance last night…
