‘Not good enough’, ‘Poundshop Pep’ – Chelsea fans react to manager rumours on Twitter

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been bitterly disappointed by their side’s form of late and they are becoming increasingly concerned by the prospect of finishing outside of the top-four this season.

Anotnio conte’s future has been a dominant theme in the British media since his Chelsea side lost back to back Premier League matches against Bournemouth and Watford. His future has long been a subject of discussion due to Conte’s repeated instances of publicly criticising the Chelsea hierarchy for their transfer policy.

The majority of supporters have backed Conte for his comments throughout the season, but results of late have slightly swayed the opinion of those who had previously backed Conte to the tilt. In light of Chelsea’s successive defeats, the media have began to discuss which manager could potentially succeed the Italian at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the former Barcelona manger Luis Enrique is the favourite to succeed Conte, as Enrique has a personal desire to move to the Premier League when he undertakes his next role in management.

The Chelsea supporters have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions in response to the news, and judging by the reaction so far it appears that Enrique is far from their number one choice. Plenty of The Blues faithful believe that their club’s judgement should not be clouded by the success he enjoyed at Barcelona, as the challenge he would face at Chelsea would be radically different to managing the Catalan giants.
