Tottenham seem to be nearing the completion of their first transfer this summer in Jack Grealish, however, the fans aren’t best pleased as they find themselves one of just three Premier League clubs yet to make a signing this summer. Links to Andre Gomes have popped up via Mundo Deportivo, but the fans aren’t exactly delighted as their dull summer drags on.

Andre Gomes has been a long-term target for Mauricio Pochettino. last summer the club were trying to sign the Portugal and Barcelona man but ultimately ran out of time on deadline day. Mauricio Pochettino then attempted to revive the deal in January but to no avail. Things seem to have pointed to this summer being the time they’d get their man in, although as of yet there’s been little action on that front.
Daniel Levy is coy in the transfer market and always manages to leave things late when he conducts his business, in order to squeeze the most money he can out of every deal. It’s likely that Spurs will get Gomes on the cheap if they do get him and whilst Gomes has suffered a torrid time at the Camp Nou, at the age of just 24 he has plenty of time to reinvent himself and become a star under Poch in North London.

There’s no doubt that Gomes could be a superb addition to the Lillywhites, however, the fans are hard to please when it comes to the transfer window.
