Not long to go: 2 things to expect from Liverpool’s opening day fixture with Watford

With Liverpool back in the Champions League for the 2017/18 season, Reds fans in the Tavern believe their side have to hit the ground running in the first game of the season.

Whilst the signing of Mohammed Salah showed a lot of intent earlier on in the transfer window, it has been quiet at Melwood over the summer although there have been many rumours circulating in the Tavern.

Klopp and his men have to travel to Vicarage Road on the first day of the season and with Marco Silva taking the reigns of the Hornets, our landlord believes it could be one of the tougher opening games for the top six this season.

The Liverpool fans in the Tavern are excited to see their side back in the Premier League and it’s safe to say their expectations are high, this has left our landlord trying to find out just what these expectations are and it’s safe to say that he has been able to outline two major expectations from the Reds’ opening day fixture.
