Aston Villa failed to make the most of a promising position yesterday as they conceded a late goal against Reading which forced a 1-1 draw.
The Villains have been superb so far this season but yesterday’s draw against Reading put a slight bit of doubt in some supporters minds. And, to make matters worse, it appears as if Villa have suffered a setback in their pursuit of a forward, as according to Nottingham Post, Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Tammy Abraham.
But, it looks as if he will now face stiff competition to secure the striker’s services as Nottingham Forest have registered an interest in the forward.
Indeed, the Chelsea forward could take the Villains to the next level in the current campaign, with many supporters dreaming of a partnership that includes Tammy Abraham and Jonathan Kodjia.
Aston Villa are one of the form teams in the Championship and they managed to add Yannick Bolasie to their ranks yesterday. So, being able to bring Tammy Abraham to the club would have made them almost unstoppable.
But, with Nottingham Forest joining the race for the Premier League striker, perhaps Steve Bruce will miss out on his primary target before the deadline.
