Nuno Santo praises Rui Patricio

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been one of the dark horses in the current campaign after enjoying an incredible start to life in the Premier League. 

The Midlands club will be desperate to kick on and secure a European spot this season, with supporters feeling confident that their side can get the job done. And, to make things better, it appears as if Nuno Espirito Santo pleased with one of his first team members, as according to Sky Sports, the Wolves boss has praised Rui Patricio. 

Nuno Espirito Santo has praised Rui Patricio’s focus as a £15 million deal with Sporting Lisbon edges closer.

The goalkeeper has been at the centre of a transfer wrangle since he walked out of Sporting, along with eight other players, in the summer following disruption at the club.

Sporting accused Patricio, who won Euro 2016 with Portugal, of a breach of contract and complained to FIFA.

He joined Wolves on a four-year deal but the clubs have held positive talks and he is now likely to cost around £15 million after Sporting initially wanted £50 million.

THE VERDICT:

Rui Patricio has been one of the standout performers for Wolves in the current campaign, with a number of incredible saves already under his belt.

Indeed, the Portuguese goalkeeper has handle the current transfer saga magnificently as he continues to deliver world-class performances in-between the sticks.
