Everton have been one of the biggest spenders in the Premier League transfer window this summer and their fans here in the Transfer Tavern have loved th money that is being pumped into the squad.
The Toffees have already spent a staggering £90million on five players already over the past few weeks and their huge spending is showing no signs of slowing up in the slightest.
And another player that is being linked with a move to Goodison Park this weekend is Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk, who’s odds on a move to Goodison Park have been slashed drastically over the past few hours.
According to betting giants Betfair, Everton’s odds of signing the Dutchman have been slashed from 50/1 earlier this week and you can currently get odds of 7/2 (as of July 8th, 12:10 pm) to see him move to Merseyside this summer.
It marks a remarkable change in odds and suggests that Everton’s interest in some of the Premier League’s biggest players isn’t going to end anytime soon.
The Toffees have already signed for Burnley centre-back Michael Keane in a big-money move and their hopes of bringing another top target to Goodison Park are looking extremely serious too.
It all suggests that Ronald Koeman really does mean business over the next few days.
