The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are shocked at this…
Since his arrival in Manchester, Paul Pogba has had a difficult time. He is still a mainstay in the Man Utd first team, but is yet to hit the heights that were expected alongside his record-breaking transfer from Juventus.
The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have slowly been turning on the Frenchman, as his poor form continues – and it would appear that those outside of the Tavern are of a similar opinion.
According to the Sun, bookmakers have begun slashing the odds on a Man Utd departure for Pogba – with Ladbrokes cutting a January departure to as little as 10/1.
The chances of a departure next summer have also reportedly been slashed down to 7/2 – perhaps signaling that Pogba could be about to quit United before his career has even begun.
Granted, you must take bookmakers odds with a grain of salt. Their prices are typically adjusted as a result of increased betting frequency, but something must have happened in order for a large frequency of people to bet on the given situation.
For example, perhaps someone has gotten word that the Man Utd brass are upset with his performances, or perhaps someone has heard of a falling out between the player and someone…
Of course, this is all speculation, but it all comes down to 1 thing – Pogba, according to the Sun, is looking increasingly likely to depart Man Utd by the start of next season.
Will it happen? Our landlord doesn’t think so. On current form, Pogba is not worth close to the fee that United paid for him; and United would not be willing to take such a huge loss.
Is it unsettling for the Man Utd fans in the Tavern, though? Definitely.
