Arsenal are looking to sell off some of their less important players before the closure of the transfer window on Thursday.

The Gunners will be looking to recoup some of the £71.5 million outlay they’ve spent this summer.

Arsenal have brought in five new players this summer, which although has gone under the radar amidst Liverpool’s massive spending the Gunners have conducted some superb transfer business.

Moreover, Arsenal have had a very positive pre-season and although they go into their first game of the season against Premier League champions, Manchester City, the upcoming season looks like it might be a much more positive one than last year.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport reporter, Nicolo Schira, West Ham will sign Arsenal’s forgotten forward, Lucas Perez.

The Breakdown

A forward who could provide some real depth and quality to the Gunners, Lucas Perez has never really hit off at Arsenal.

Since he arrived at the Gunners in 2016, Perez has only managed to play 21 games, albeit scoring seven goals and assisting five.

After a hit-and-miss first season, Perez spent a year on loan at his former club, Deportivo La Coruna. He returned this summer hoping to be a part of Unai Emery’s team but is seemingly on his way out of the club.

Although he may not be a first-team starter, the Spaniard could be a great player to have coming off the bench.

In his first season at the club, Emery will need multiple players to call upon and Perez could add some real value to the squad.
