Manchester City have been dominant so far this season and they really should have ended on a high prior to the international break, but Riyad Mahrez missed a penalty in the dying embers at Anfield.
The Citizens are in a great position to kick on and secure a second consecutive Premier League title after last year’s heroics, but they are currently facing competition from a number of sides. Interestingly, one of City’s younger first team members appears to be looking for an exit, as according to Sun Sport, Oleksandr Zinchenko is open to joining Italian side Napoli in January.
Manchester City outcast Oleksandr Zinchenko is open to joining Napoli in January.
That’s according to his agent, who claims the versatile winger is desperate to quit England for regular football elsewhere.
Indeed, Zinchenko has only featured twice so far in the new season after being strongly linked with a summer move to Wolves.
So, it looks as if he is now ready to take his chances in Naples after the Italians also tried to strike a deal in the last transfer window.
The Ukrainian is one of the most promising players in English football and will no doubt enjoy a very successful future in the game, but it appears as if a move away will be better for his progression.
Indeed, Manchester City already have the hard-working Benjamin Mendy in the left-back position, so it was always going to be difficult for Zinchenko to enjoy a run in the side.
