Olofinjana To Complete Monaco Move Today?

Seyi OlofinjanaThe Transfer Tavern is filling up this morning as we hear news of Seyi Olofinjana’s imminent departure from Stoke to Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

According to L’Equipe, the Nigerian International midfielder is expected in Monaco today to complete his medical and sign a three-year contract.

Olofinjana, who’s being recruited from the Premier League club to add muscle to the Monaco midfield, has already completed some physical examinations in Paris.

Although the transfer fee is undisclosed, L’Equipe estimate that he will make the journey across the channel for about €2.5 million.

Monaco director general Marc Keller has revealed that the club are also keen to add an attacking midfielder and a striker to the squad.

Defenders Dario Simic and Patrick Müller, as well as midfielders Jerko Leko and Nicola Pokrivac, are all set to leave the club.

So was this a booze-fuelled tale or was L’Equipe spot on? Could Stoke be about to lose their hardman? Should this rumour Fly or Die?
