The Newcastle fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving life at the moment. The club has won their last three Premier League games and put in a fantastic display on the weekend as they overcame Leicester City 2-1 away from home. There was one passage of play in the game that saw Newcastle put in a number of big challenges before eventually committing a foul o the halfway line, and Paul Dummett loved it.

The Newcastle fans propping our bar up have a real soft spot for Paul Dummett. The Welshman came through the ranks at Newcastle United and has been in and around the first team since being promoted from the U18s in summer 2010. The fullback has been a key feature of Rafa Benitez side as of late, playing in all of the club’s last 13 Premier League matches after missing a large chunk of the season with a hamstring problem.
The defender is now back in the team and making an impact as the fans continue to show how much they love their Newcastle born and bred man. Life for the Newcastle fans is much less stressful now as they enter the last six games of the Premier League season a whopping ten points clear of the relegation zone with 38 points. One more win will ensure the club hits the magic 40-point mark as Benitez will start planning for next season as they’ll be looking to kick on from what has been a successful first year back at the top.
