Only City Would Look To Move On A 14 Goals In 28 Games Man…

18 Months ago Edin Dzeko was one of the hottest properties in European football after his goals fired Wolfsburg to success but £27 million later it seems the Bosnian international is out favour with Man City ready to let the 26 year-old seek pastures new.

Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are leading the chase for the 6ft 4″ front man, according to The Mail Online.

Its easy to see why Dzeko would appeal to those occupying the red  side of the San Siro. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic all set for a big money move to PSG Dzeko would rank highly amongst the list of tailor made replacements for the mercurial Swede.

Despite falling slightly out of favour towards the back end of last season the Bosnian striker still managed an impressive goal every other game last season in the league with 14 goals in 28 appearances.

As Pato continues to improve and mature AC Milan should be confident that a partnership between Pato and Dzeko would adequately cover for the loss Ibrahimovic.

Dzeko’s other potential destination is to the current Italian Champions who managed the incredible feat of an unbeaten season last time out, albeit amid the backdrop of further corruption allegations in Italy.

Juventus have been repeatedly linked with Robin Van Persie over recent months and if Dzeko is being considered as a compliment to rather than an alternative to RVP that could be the makings of a strike pairing ready to ensure Juventus are a force not only in Italy but also in Europe.

As with so many of City’s players the stumbling block to them so often to off-loading those players surplus to requirements is wages. Therefore Dzeko’s next destination may ultimately rest on which club is willing to get closest to the wages the big man currently enjoys at Eastlands.
