Chelsea will be looking to overcome their transfer ban and bring in some big name signings over the course of the summer.

The Blues will be keen to add some top talent to the ranks over the summer as they look to address one or two issues within the squad which has meant their season has not been quite as successful as they might have hoped.

Manager Mauro Sarri will be hoping to hang on to his job for one, and with the likes of Eden Hazard looking like they are on their way out of the club, new signings will be a must for the club.

And this weekend has seen the Blues linked with the Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who has proved himself to be one of the finest strikers in Europe over the last decade or so.

Lewandowski is a class act, and while Chelsea might well choose to make a move for current loan striker Gonzalo Higuain, the signing of the big Polish striker would take them to another level.

His performances for Munich, leading them to success in both the Bundesliga and Champions League to an extent have only enhanced his reputation, and he is someone who is as close to a guarantee of goals as possible.

Chelsea fans will be praying their club can overcome their transfer problems, and signing of someone like Lewandowski is the sort of signing that can really take them to the next level.

Blues fans, what do you think? Would Lewandowski be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
