Crystal Palace will be hoping that they have now done enough to secure their Premier League status under Roy Hodgson after a big wobble earlier in the campaign.

The Eagles do have a supremely talented squad on paper, and there is an argument to be made that they could and should really be challenging higher up the Premier League table than they actually are.

However, they are where they sit for a reason, and manager Hodgson will no doubt have a keen eye on snapping up one or two new recruits to supplement and improve his squad in the summer.

And one man we here in the Tavern would be a superb signing is Sheffield United ace John Fleck, who has delivered a superb effort this season to cement his place as one of the Championship's best central midfielders.

The Scot has worked hard at his game to really up the ante, and along with Oli Norwood, has been the driving force in a Sheffield United midfield which has seen them become serious contenders for automatic promotion at the business end of the season.

For Palace, Fleck would be ideal in the middle alongside the likes of Milovejvic, who continues to anchor the midfield but at times could do with some assistance.

Fleck's quality on the ball, ability to turn defence into attack, and excellent long range shooting would make him a real asset for the Eagles.

Of course, the Blades won't want to sell, but if they aren't promoted, the likes of Fleck will be firmly in the sights of Premier League clubs, with Palace among those who should swoop for the former Coventry man.

Palace fans, what do you make of Fleck? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
