Manchester City lead the pack at the moment as they look to retain their Premier League title under Pep Guardiola.

A solid run of form has seen them claw back the points on Liverpool to top the table heading into the final months of the campaign, and it would be quite the achievement to come out as winners given their position just before Christmas.

The summer promises to be an interesting one for City too, with new players bound to be on the agenda of Pep and his coaching staff, who will need to start addressing the age of the squad.

However, the news of a potential transfer ban might well derail those propects, and the club really should be looking to act quickly ahead of any ban to secure new faces.

That's why we here in the Tavern feel a move for one of Europe's top young strikers, Kasper Dolberg, could be a wise move for the Citizens.

The youngster has smashed in the goals on a consistent basis for Ajax over the last few years, and has hit 11 in all competitions this time around to further enhance his growing reputation in the game.

Dolberg is a player who would no doubt love to prove himself at a higher level, and a move to City would be a smart one for him, with the likes of Aguero still in their prime and fellow strikers like Gabriel Jesus also having valuable experience in the tank.

A player with good pace, excellent awareness in and around the box and with lethal finishing ability, Dolberg would be a solid addition to the Premier League and would give City yet another impressive option up front.

City fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
