Liverpool will have to quickly forget about their Champions League triumph over Napoli and move on with a gigantic clash against Manchester United now awaiting them.

With Chelsea beating Manchester City 2-0 last Saturday at Stamford Bridge, the Reds finished last weekend at the top of the Premier League table and can remain their with victory over Jose Mourinho's men in a game that will probably be attack versus defence.

It is a fixture of late that has seen Liverpool take the initiative while Manchester United have sat back and, with how leaky the latter have been at the back this season, Mourinho is almost certain to take an even more cautious approach to the game.

With that in mind, from Liverpool's perspective, the inclusion of a player such as £18m-rated (Transfermarkt) Xherdan Shaqiri could be vital.

All of the focus will be on Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino -- individuals who Mourinho will do his utmost to try and neutralise.

But with Shaqiri, who has looked bright on the pitch in a red shirt since joining from Stoke City during the summer, Liverpool would have an extra bit of quality in the team which could prove to be the difference.

A very capable dribbler with a threatening left foot, be it from the start or off the bench, Shaqiri might just be able to exploit any spaces that appear from Manchester United putting all of their efforts into stopping Salah, Mane and Firmino.
