Manchester United could be set for a huge summer ahead, with their form picking up and a potential Champions League win on the cards following this week's win in Paris.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is surely going to be given the job on a full-time basis now, and that means that the club can star making major plans for the summer in terms of players they might want to bring in.

And one man we here in the Tavern would love to see at Old Trafford is Real Madrid and Wales winger Gareth Bale, who is seemingly on his way out of the Spanish capital, with various rows and disagreements being reported over the course of this season.

The former Spurs star has done little wrong in his time in Madrid, but there has always been something hanging over him in terms of his future with the club.

Therefore, it would make big sense for Bale to move back to the Premier League and challenge himself with a club like United.

Bale is a serial winner too, capable of delivering massive moments, which he has done in both Champions League and Copa Del Rey finals over the years.

With the form of Alexis Sanchez a major disappointment too, signing a player like Bale makes all kind of sense for the Red Devils.

It would also be a huge statement of intent from the United board, not just in backing their new manager, but showing they still have the pull and financial muscle to attract the world's best.
