Richarlison has made a tremendous start to life at Everton. He clearly has a great relationship with Marco Silva, and the pair have already been able to create some real magic at Goodison Park, as they did at Vicarage Road with Watford last term.
As we’ve seen before, though, the Brazilian can be inconsistent, and so he’s not the sort of player that can be relied upon all season long. He’ll win Everton many games, make no mistake, but the onus will fall to a few other players throughout the course of the campaign.
Certainly, if the past is anything to go by, Icelandic ace Gylfi Sigurdsson will likely have just as big of a part to play this term.
Sigurdsson has been able to create magic wherever he’s gone, be it at Spurs, Swansea or, indeed, Everton.
A creative midfielder by trade, he’s naturally best used when the ball is in play and it’s at his feet. Then, he’s able to make use of his brilliant range of passing, and he’s already been able to spot some majestic passes this term. He’s also potent in-front of goal, as his goalscoring record over the years indicates.
He’s got 3 goals and 1 assists already this season, and as Everton’s form begins to improve, you’d expect his own performances to only get better as the season progresses. He’s well on course to beat his Everton record of 3 goals and 4 assists that he achieved last season.
At Swansea, he was able to bag 9 goals and 13 assists in his final year, and if he can get close to that, Marco Silva’s side will be so much more successful.
