Oumar Niasse given green light to leave Everton

Everton are thought to be ready to let one of their men leave in the January transfer window.

According to a report by Turkish-Football, Oumar Niasse has been given the green light to leave the club in the winter.

The Senegal international appears to have fallen down the pecking order and despite having made a handful of appearances so far, he seems to be deemed surplus to requirements under Marco Silva.

Richarlison was deployed as a striker in their last match against Leicester City, in which he scored once again, whilst they also have Cenk Tosun as their other main focal attacking option.

It is understood that a return to Turkey could be on the cards for the 27-year-old, with Galatasaray thought to be interested in adding the African, as their own options up front appear to be lacking in depth.

The Verdict:

Niasse has never really got going for Everton during his two-year spell at Goodison Park, although he did start to become an impact player for the Toffees coming off the bench last season.

However, it appears that his days at the club are numbered as he has only featured a handful of time for Silva so far.

It remains to be seen if Galatasaray, or any club, do go for him in the winter transfer window, but it would not be surprising to see him playing his football elsewhere in the future.
