Ousted striking flop to be given second-chance at Liverpool

Mario BalotelliLiverpool fans around the Transfer Tavern jukebox are discussing whether a decision made by their manager is a good call, as an exiled star will be given a fresh chance at Anfield.

TuttoMercatoWeb state that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keen for Mario Balotelli to return to Anfield from his loan spell at AC Milan in the summer and will give the Italian a fresh chance to impress.

Signed for £16m in the summer of 2014, Balotelli failed to provide a spark to Liverpool’s attack and he was promptly loaned back to his former side last summer- with Liverpool spending £32.5m to bring in Christian Benteke.

That hasn’t quite worked out though, with Liverpool still struggling to excel in the forward areas in the Premier League this season- finding themselves way behind the pace in the race for Champions League football.

Klopp is said to be a fan of Balotelli and is keen to see the forward return to bolster his side, with the German likely to rejuvenate his underperforming squad in the summer with a wealth of additions.

Our landlord believes that whoever can get the best out of Balotelli will land themselves a brilliant footballer, though he admits it’s not an easy nut to crack.

Liverpool fans, can Balotelli impress at Anfield? Let us know in the comments below!
