Arsenal have endured a difficult season and the fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting major changes.
Injury problems have long been an issue for the Gunners and fans at the bar are now claiming it’s time for one player to be offloaded, following yet another injury set-back.
The player in question is young midfielder Jack Wilshere, who’s seen his career thus far plagued by injury problems that have severely affected his development- stopping a path that many believed would lead to him becoming a star.
Sent on-loan this season in seek of regular first-team football, which he has found at Bournemouth, £17m-rated Jack Wilshere suffered a hairline fracture in the Cherries defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, and it’s set to end his campaign prematurely.
A return to Arsenal is now expected but the England international faces an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium as he’s rapidly approaching the final 12 months of his contract – and many believe he shouldn’t be offered fresh terms.
Our landlord is inclined to agree with them, as he feels Arsenal have better midfield options as it is – although he’s concerned for Wilshere’s future as he doesn’t know where he would go.
He's a good player. Could have been great but for injuries. It's a shame but he's one of 5 or 6 that need to be sold to rebuild Arsenal FC

Sell him, he's the same as Diaby! Overrated!

His Arsenal career should be over too. No new contract.

Don't think he's worth selling for what 15 million. Have enough money that we should keep. Does way more than Xhaka, Ramsey…

Wilshere should be sold, before he devalues even more

Just let go of the boy…He's been unlucky with injuries but Arsenal can't afford to get stuck in the past by giving him a sympathy contract

Poor old Jack. I think we need to cash in on him, although Wenger will probably give him about 6 or 7 years on the bench, just in case.

If he was a dog he'd be put down.
Bang average anyway.
