Nottingham Forest have been rather impressive under Aitor Karanka as they continue to work towards securing a play-off spot.
Forest have displayed plenty of quality in the current campaign, but dipping into the January transfer window would definitely help their promotion push even more.
However, it appears as if one of the club’s fringe players is set to depart, as according to Alfredo Pedulla (via HITC), Panagiotis Tachtsidis looks set to depart in January.
Sadly, the 27-year-old has not made a single appearance in the Championship and has only been included in the matchday squad once.
Indeed, this has put his immediate future under the spotlight, with it being understood that Italian outfit Lecce are in talks to sign Tachtsidis when the transfer window opens next month and the midfielder wants to return to Italy.
This won’t have any affect on Forest’s promotion push at all as he has been a spectator for the whole of the campaign.
Nottingham Forest will be pleased to get a player off their books that has failed to have any kind of impact on proceedings in the current campaign.
And, with the January transfer window on the horizon, they’ll be looking to complete some business of their own.
